OBD (LMU3040) - Installation Guide

1.    Locate the OBD-II Port

          •    It’s typically found under the dashboard, just below the steering column.

          •    If you’re unsure, check your vehicle’s manual or look for a trapezoid-shaped port.

2.    Plug in the Tracker

          •    Insert the tracker directly into the OBD-II port.

          •    Make sure it’s firmly connected—you should feel a slight click.

3.    Confirm Installation

          •    The device will display a solid amber light to indicate the device is powered on.

          •    If the device responds with your correct location on Motia Telematics, it’s working!

          •    You can now secure the device under the dash with a zip tie if needed.

4.    Optional: Using a Y-Cable

If you want to hide the tracker or keep the OBD port free, you can use an OBD Y-splitter. This allows you to:

         •    Plug the tracker into one end.

         •    Plug the other end into the vehicle.

         •    Keep the original port accessible.
