If your driver journey list shows more miles than your odometer readings, you won't be able to enter the end odometer reading and will receive an error message:
This may be due to several factors. Please check the following:
1. Correct Start and End Odometer Readings:
- Ensure your start and end odometer readings are accurate for the start and end of the month you are recording journeys for.
2. Duplicate Journeys:
- Double-check your list for duplicate journeys. For example, if you have entered a journey manually and also uploaded it, this could cause discrepancies.
3. Previous Month's Submission:
- If you submitted your journeys for the previous month but they were not approved in time, your start odometer reading will show the reading you inputted at the end of the month you tried to submit. You will need to contact Mileage Expenses support to remove this, otherwise, your odometer readings will not calculate correctly.
4. Minor Differences:
- If the error message indicates less than a 5% difference between recorded journeys and odometer readings, you will still be able to make a submission. The message is just alerting you to the discrepancy.
By checking these factors, you can resolve the error message and ensure your odometer readings are accurate. If you need further assistance, please reach out to the Mileage Expenses support team.
