How to Set Up an Out of Hours Movement Alert

Step 1: Apply Working Hours to Each Vehicle

  1. Navigate to the Administration Tab: Go to the Assets section.
  2. Select Vehicles: Select the asset or multiple assets (hold down Ctrl to select multiple vehicles) you wish to apply the working hours to.
  3. Access Asset Settings: Navigate to Events in the Asset settings.
  4. Edit Working Hours: Click the pen and paper icon next to the Working Hours section.
  5. Add Working Hours:
    • A pop-up screen will appear.
    • Enter the working hours (From and To) and the Days.
    • Click OK.
  6. Save Changes: Review the details and click Save to update.



Step 2: Configure the Out of Hours Movement Alert

  1. Check Existing Alert: If you already have the Out of Hours Movement alert configured, it will trigger an alert if the vehicle moves outside of the pre-defined working hours.
  2. Set Up New Alert:
    • Navigate to the Alerts section.
    • Click the plus icon (+) to add a new alert.
    • Configure the alert settings as needed.



Step 3: Set Alert Priority and Notification

  1. Set Priority Type: Ensure you set the priority type to notify the user in your preferred way. This is configured in the User screen.
  2. Example: If the alert is set to medium priority and the user has selected email notifications, the alert will trigger an email notification.
