How to Set Up Out of Hours Alerts

The Out of Hours Alert is based on the "Authorised Use" hours set for your vehicle on the Motia Telematics Portal. You can customize these hours for weekdays and weekends. Here's how:

Step 1: Customize Authorised Use Hours

  1. Log in to the Motia Telematics Portal.
  2. Go to the Vehicle List.
  3. Highlight the vehicle you want to customize.
  4. Click on the "Edit Asset" button in the blue function bar.

Step 2: Set the Alert

  1. Highlight the vehicle you want to set the alert for.
  2. Click on the "Alerts" icon in the blue function bar.

Step 3: Complete the Alert Setup

  1. A new window will appear with fields to complete.
  2. Fill in the required fields as needed.

Step 4: Receive Email Alerts

  • Email alerts will be sent to the selected user if an ignition event is recognized outside of the set "Authorised Use" periods.
