POIs (Points of Interest) help you manage where your vehicles are or have been. They can also trigger alerts when vehicles enter or leave a POI during certain time periods. This guide covers:
- Creating Radius POIs
- Creating Polygon POIs
- Viewing/Editing POIs
Creating Radius POIs
A Radius POI is a circular POI based on a point on the map plus a selected distance. Here's how to create one:
Step 1: Create POI
- Select the Create POI icon from the black mapping bar.
Step 2: Select Point on Map
- Choose the point on the map where you want to create the Radius POI. Use the search bar in the top right corner to find addresses if needed.
Step 3: Set POI Details
- Enter a title for the POI.
- Set the radius distance by dragging one of the 4 surrounding radius markers to the required length.
- Allocate the POI to a group (e.g., Airports) if you have POI groups set up.
Step 4: Save POI
- Click Save POI to complete the creation.
Step 5: Create from Journey Report
- You can also create a Radius POI from any journey report by selecting the 'Create Radius POI' icon next to the location name.
Creating Polygon POIs
A Polygon POI is a custom-shaped POI. Here's how to create one:
Step 1: Create Polygon POI
- Select the Create Polygon POI icon from the black mapping bar.
Step 2: Select Point on Map
- Choose the point on the map where you want to create the Polygon POI. Use the search bar in the top right corner to find addresses if needed.
Step 3: Draw Polygon
- Left-click the mouse at the points you wish to create your Polygon POI until they join back to the starting point.
- Enter a name for the POI and allocate it to a POI Group if required.
Viewing/Editing POIs
Once created, POIs will automatically appear on the vehicle list when one of your vehicles is present at the location and in all journey reports.
Viewing POIs
- Select the 'Show POI List' icon on the black navigation bar to view all POIs.
Editing/Deleting POIs
- Select a POI from the list to plot it on the map.
- Use the icons to the right of the POI to edit or delete it.
- Create & edit POI Groups within this section.
